CORT AND FATBOY: 'Lakeview Terrace' and Dave Walker's 'Damaged Goods'
On the Friday, Sept. 19 "Cort and Fatboy" broadcast, I write off "Lakewood Terrace" and have very kind words for my friend and colleague Dave Walker's raw, viciously funny, and mind-blowingly politically incorrect anti-rom-com, "Damaged Goods" -- a movie that (if memory serves) contains the following line of dialogue: "She threw out his entire comic-book collection ... and all he did was break her nose?" That's your tone-setter for the film right there.
David's having a screening and DVD-release party for "Damaged Goods" at 5 p.m. this Sunday (Sept. 21) at the Clinton St. Theater (2522 SE Clinton St., Portland). Admission is $5. You can learn more about the movie at its official site.
