Mr. Don't, Relay Mascot

Just finished the back of this year's Hood to Coast team t-shirt. It is also a comic strip about what you can expect from your H2C experience, starring our old friend Mr. Don't. 

No Pity.

If you head over to the Portland Timbers' Flickr photostream, you'll find an amazing promotion for the team's upcoming season -- hundreds of dramatic photos of fans posing with axes and chainsaws.

I have a bit of history with the "Timbers Army" fan group. So I thought it might be fun to draw a couple of totally bootleg promo images of my own. I'd love to see other local cartoonists draw their own variations.

'The Mr. Don't' returns to Big-Ass Sandwiches.

Big-Ass Sandwiches proprietors Brian and Lisa Wood just announced on their Twitter feed that they'll be resurrecting the weekly special named after naughty instructional cartoon character Mr. Don't.

The recipe for "The Big-Ass Mr. Don't," which debuted in June: homemade chicken-fried steak, fries and Brian's homemade country gravy.

The sandwich goes on sale Monday (Oct. 25) for $9. It is worth every penny.

I'm unreasonably excited about this: Portland food cart Big-Ass Sandwiches has named one of its weekly specials after naughty instructional cartoon character Mr. Don't.

On their Twitter feed, proprietors Brian and Lisa Wood unveiled the "The Big-Ass Mr. Don't" recipe: homemade chicken-fried steak, fries and Brian's homemade country gravy.

The sandwich goes on sale Monday (June 28) for $8. It comes with a custom sandwich sticker I threw together for Brian and Lisa (pictured above), while supplies last.

Mr. Don't sketches.

I held a contest on my Twitter account a while back: The first person to send me a picture of their computer desktop blighted with the "Mr. Don't Gets A Massage" wallpaper would receive an original Mr. Don't sketch.

Service journalism at its finest! In their latest comic-strip appearance, beloved instructional characters Mr. Do and Mr. Don't teach Portlanders how to delight their sweethearts on Valentine's Day. Sort of.

(Bill Mudron and I believe this comic may contain the most repulsive Mr. Don't drawing thus far. Guess which one. Hint: It's available in the strip's endnotes as a desktop wallpaper.)
